Significant Activities

  • Our NCW celebrations have attracted thousands of attendees and
involved hundreds of volunteers who have overseen a multitude of
    hands-on activities.

  • With the assistance of Bill Suits, I have helped hundreds of members
rewrite their resumes, shown them how to target the job market and
worked on honing their answers to commonly asked interview
    questions.

  • Organized several workshops on:
      Hot Topics in Chemistry
      Job Hunting

  • Helped institute nomination policies that encouraged identification of
new future leaders of the Section

  • Originated Kids and Chemistry Kits, where elementary teachers could
borrow hands-on activity kits that explored a scientific principle
