| The ACS is a National (or even international) organization so its meetings have worldwide significance. The ACS holds two National Meetings each year and planning starts more than 10 years before the meeting. |
| The National Meeting is the place where most of the ACS Divisions deliver their programming. The meeting is five days of symposia, exhibitions, tutorials, and poster sessions that cover every area of chemistry, chemical engineering and related sciences. Short courses with renowned instructors, workshops, divisional and committee meetings and other related sessions also occur at national meetings. The ACS Council and the many ACS Committees meet at the National Meeting. |
