| Les was honored to Chair the 2008 Medicinal Chemistry Gordon Research Conference |
| Les served in the Chair succession for the Gordon Research Conference on Medicinal Chemistry between 2006-2008. The Gordon Research Conferences provide an international forum for the presentation and discussion of frontier research in the biological, chemical, and physical sciences, and their related technologies. The Medicinal Chemistry GRC is the most prestigious meeting in the fireld. |

| Key to the success of many of the RSC US events is the social component but the meetings all have a technical talk. At the Spring 2009 meeting at the British Embassy in Washington D.C. Dr. Bob Peoples of the ACS Green Chemistry Institute gave an excellent talk on "Green Solutions". |
